Is anyone else having trouble keeping up with what is going on in Theory 07 Lydian? I understand Lydian is just #4 and I understand that A Lydian has a D# instead of D, but the rest of the lesson is going pretty fast between examples of practical uses of A Lydian.
I couldn't tell if the John Mayer style was to illustrate using a #4 chord in a progression, or using the Lydian mode to create a melody over a chord progression. For now I am going to move on remembering Lydian is #4, but please share if there's more to be gleaned from this lesson!
Thank you for sharing.
Please try playing this scale on one string approach.
It's all about intervals & colors.
Major scale with #4 (#11)
Very nice sound.
I will make more slower & deeper lesson videos.
Thank you.

Thank you, sir, for this reply.
Play C power chord as 8th notes (as backing for loop)
Then play slowly on 2nd string. E F# G A etc... Fun!
You're very welcome!
