does dorian tend to want to resolve on the 2 note?

i was playing a loop grove using B dorian and it sounds like it want to resolve on C#. and when i was playing c dorian over a c major groove loop it felt like it wanted to resolve on Dm, id this the normal behavior of dorian, or is this the normal behavior of modes in general?

Dorian groove is pretty much about "m7 chord vamp and you can throw in a few chords around.

B Dorian then Bm7 chord groove. You could move B-7 C#-7 DMaj7 etc...

C Dorian ove C Major groove (?)
C Dorian / C-7 groove then you can add D-7, EbMaj7 etc.

yes i,m sorry, when i said C dorian I was starting with C but I was using a b3, b7 however, I was playing this over a C Maj progression. of 1,5,m6,4 /CMaj,GMaj,Am,FMaj

That's 1 5 6m 4 chord progression.

Dorian is for 2m in Major key.
Or Minor key... one chord groove.
