Studying guitar in your senior years

I’m a 63 old drummer who has a passion for that Beautiful instrument, The Guitar, about a year ago I decided to try and learn the guitar and music theory, “How hard can it be” But I must say it’s been a nightmare until I discovered Tomorrow Fujita Guitar Wisdom, I’m well impressed, I love how he explains the subject and with humour, the Man is a legend in the Guitar community and such a down to earth personality, Thank you so much.

Welcome! While I am not as wise as you are, I am older myself and only in the past few years have I dedicated myself to learning guitar and now it is a passion I spend hours a day learning.

I can tell you that since I joined GW my guitar playing has improved by leaps and bounds!

Said so perfectly. It's easy to be OK but it's so hard to be very good at guitar. And it's even harder when you are older, your brain is not as plastic as it used to be. Still possible but it takes more time.

yes, 63 y/o here also. married, kids, work 6 days a week usually. Taking care of my body so I can do more when I retire. I own 1 acoustic guitar for now. I am glad to be here and grateful. I will be happy if one day someone likes my playing. I will never be a great player, but I am learning here.

Good job! My health is my priory than my job, guitar playing. I am so happy for you! Yes! Definitely! It's all possible!

You can prepare with chromatic scale 10 minutes a day everyday. Then pick a few items and focus on.
