Hello all! Greetings from Portugal!

Hope you don't mind this thread, no questions yet. I would like to introduce myself here in this beautiful community with this video doing the Do Re Mi exercise with the help of my wife :)

I would also like to congratulate Tomo and this forum, this is a really special place!

I will continue with this exercise and the November challenge.

(Sorry for the sound, my practice amp is on is way from shop to my living room :D , recorded from phone with a Line6 HX Stomp trough a speaker)

Next one (for yourself)
Sing first then play those notes. (Not do as unison)
This way you can hear any intervals inside of you... easier to hear.

Hello community! 🌞 Sunny day here in Portugal!

Tomo, I have a question about Learning the Fretboard without Memorization.

I have been doing the B and D string for about a month, but I realized that I have not been doing the exercise correctly on the D string where the C is further away from the open D string.

On the D string I have been doing the exercises (DoReMi - DoMi - DoReMiDo) starting on the C of the A string (Dó - Ré open etc).

I watched Tomo's video again and understood that I should start the exercise with an open D, right? (ReMiFa-etc)

Great question!

First please feel C chord! C triad... even simple open chord.

Then play any C Major scale from any strings so that your root is still C!

Just started to play from 2nd degree of C Major scale (Not D Dorian!)

So..... D string is Re Mi Fa So La Ti Do ....

About the practice, I don't usually practice like this, I was practicing the positions of the C Major scale before my wife film this at the end of the exercise was tying to connect them and have a little fun exploring

Yes Tadashi! My wife gave her the name Yuki because it sounded good! We didn't knew the meaning, later we found out it means snow or happiness ❤️
