Rosenwinkel's Book?

Hello!
Anyone have any experience with Kurt Rosenwinkel's book? His master classes are awesome and assume mastery of the guitar etc.

Looking to Tomo to provide building blocks to understand some of Kurt's work.

Thanks for sharing! We went to Berklee same time so I spent our commencement concert together.

So sorry! This my Guitar Wisdom and I cannot talk about other people's books here. Sorry about that.

I would say... any foundation. There are a few reasons that you just don't get it (not able to understand somebody's lesson. Maybe you needed to know more jazz standards or more theory, ear training. You can ask him any questions! Why not?

I hadn't heard of Kurt Rosenwinkel until I read your post and I just picked up a copy of his book out of curiosity. Focusing on Guitar Wisdom lessons for now but will save it for later.

What a commencement concert that must have been! I think Kurt has a great name...I love his playing with The Brian Blade Fellowship.

I'm LIMITING myself as I work on building a solid foundation. That is hard in this day of so much information everywhere. Too bad a lot of the instruction out there isn't really helpful. I'm just buckling down at this Guitar Wisdom platform with Tomo for formal instruction and am finally getting somewhere. I truly believe if I keep focusing here for a good long time, I will be able to tackle most guitar books or master classes by others if I want to later.
I get real joy and satisfaction with small progress over time here with Tomo. All you friends here sharing and working hard are inspiring me.

I think having a solid foundation is so good!

PS, Since I have a good foundation so I can understand any lesson books or lesson videos.
Like Eric Johnson, Danny Gatton... If I watch a few times, I can figuring out "Where they (ideas) come from?" Simple method! Any things got history! More fun!
