Guitar lessons, music theory and personal philosophy on video, presented by Tomo Fujita, professional guitarist and Professor at Berklee College of Music, Boston, Massachusetts USA.
Tomo,
This is an "Autumn Leaves" in Gm I found. Haven't found the regal real book yet. Most of the other Jazz Standard tunes you teach here match up with my 6th Edition of the Real Book.
Are these the only 2-5-1 sequences in Autumn Leaves?
Cm F7 Bb
Am D7 Gm
EbMAJ7 seams to connect them.
I think the EbMAJ7 confuses me a little when trying to analyze the song progression.
EbMAJ7 is just the 4 chord of the key of Bb MAJOR or the 6 chord of G minor depending on how you look at it...I think.

All the HUGE maple Autumn Leaves at my house our being turned into good smelly compost to help the garden thrive next year.
Thanks, Tomo!
Not vintage, It is from the year 2020. A real doozy for a year!
I'm playing my 75th anniversary Fender Vintera Telecaster Deluxe "Roadworn". Olympic White. Based on a 1972 Telecaster Deluxe. Alder body. "C" shape roasted neck. 9.5" radius.
There weren't a lot of the 75th Anniversary ones. I like having a tele shape with humbuckers.
Made in Mexico.
"Roadworn" means "Kind of banged around looking". Nice when you do bang it, to not care as much :-)
Playing over the verse of autumn leaves. Is this a good way to practice? or should it be more focused because some of the target notes i was hitting were very "clammy" how do you fix this? i know the basic melody and i think that came across sometimes, but when i try to make up my own stuff it doesn't quite fit withing the chord structure. I have so much fun doing this. also half the video is of my lower half because i stood up.

Good job playing simple R 3 7 finger picking! I think you should practice triad inversions on top 123 set strings. Before you improvise something, always you need to prepare a few things.
1) Play R 3 7 simple swing groove strumming or fingerpicking.
2) Practice a melody
3) Practice triad inversions on top 123 set strings.
4) Maybe you can apply a few ii V I jazzy phrase.
So you need to learn, practice and prepare things before you start improvising,
Each step takes a few weeks each. Be patient and keep working! When you are improvising over chord progression. Only do twice (Two times over the form) So it is easy to review it.
when you say ii V I jazzy phrase what do you mean. like the main melody of autumn leaves and how it fits exactly with the ii V I? this must be why it is step number 4. i will focus on step one.
