I had watched this previously, but always good to review. What I learned was:
• As Tomo shows, roll on or off the controls using your ears, not the numbers.
• No two guitar / amp combination is the same. Your ears have to come into play each time you plug each guitar in to any amp.
• Pick volume is important! The goal is about controlling touch.
• The goal is honest tone, so set it a little brighter and louder so that you can’t hide anything.
• Dynamics come into play at the higher (guitar) volumes?
• There is a difference between settings for strumming v. picking.
• For practicing, it’s not about “great sound” per se, as much as it is about learning.
