seems i failed while editing the shuffle video. it seems barely audible.
Thanks so much for sharing.
1) R 3 7... Good job overall.
1bar 4th beat... up stroke is not enough! That's typical problem between chords.
Move your strumming hand wide enough. The tone is very dark. More treble, less bass.
Do not use any accent on a metronome. Not so good. At 00:33 ... Up stroke is missing.
2) Bassline & phrase ... Good job overall.
Same. No accent on a metronome. Do not rest on the bridge (your left hand)
Picking position should be toward front pickup.
While you are playing bassline, 2&3 fingers should be close to bottom strings.
3) Shuffle ...
No part muting by your left hand.
Two notes should be heard much clearly. The tone is too dark and not loud enough.
This essence is very difficult to understand how to play them so clean!
Thank you for sharing these!
Overall. Good!
Metronome should not have any accented note,
The tone too dark! More brighter & less bass. A lit louder?
Thank you. So great to hear your playing!

Thank you very much for taking the time to take a look and comment. I appreciate it so much. Will try and work on my weak spots. All we have is work. :) Tone is always a mess. I have at most an hour a day for practice. Somehow i never take the time to work on the tone of my PC guitar/amp sim. To eager to practice so i just skip the tone part. Will try. Thank you for your teaching Tomo.
You're very welcome! What a great courage to post your video at the forum.
I really appreciate it. This already is giving us so much a great vibe and inspiration!
Do not use any computer generate tone! It's easy and convenient. Good for people just enjoy things without expecting any improvement.
When I teach anyone at first lesson... it's all about amp setting, guitar tone/volume setting and picking volume setting. If you fail this part... even many hours of practicing.. will not work!
One hour a day is so good! Many things you can review and work on.
But your tone has to be louder, brighter etc. So that you can hear all the details.
R 3 7 swing groove. The most popular mistake is not strum on the 4th beat right before next chord. Very easy to miss it!
Thank you.
Tomo
Thank you again Tomo. Unfortunately using a computer is the only way for me due to several reasons. Nevertheless, i will try and follow your tone guidelines and fiddle with settings within the amp sim, might not be perfect but i will see can i get closer to what you recommend tone wise.
You're very welcome! Unfortunately if you cannot use a regular amp, it's extremely difficult to get a great tone by how you play. No need to play loud at all. All clean tone, more bright & less bass. Simple sound. Try something as much as you can. First bypass any effects then turn up a little but louder so you can get super bright tone, loud enough that you can use picking volume/picking dynamics. You can hear all noise upfront and fit it.
Thank you.
Tomo
in R37 swing what is tricky now that i am focusing on the up strums is transitioning from I to V. i seem to hit an open bottom E string before i change grips.
Thank you for sharing Silvije! I like your approach on getting feedback while you are still in the process. Super helpful to direct your attention on fine-tuning your practice. Plus, you are inspiring and helping others!
I am not sure that this will solve your issue, but here are some time stamps that focus on muting the E string with your 1st finger:
(12:20) https://tomovhxtv.vhx.tv/videos/tf-lesson-055-1-e-blues-shuffle-groove
(3:00) https://tomovhxtv.vhx.tv/videos/tf-lesson-055-2-e-blues-turnarounds
Fellow GW friends, please add any tips on muting the "bottom E during I to V transition"
Thanks!
Sammi
Thanks, Sammi.
Not only muting at that time stamp. If you are a beginner, that B chord (5 chord) move at 12:20 can cause wrist pain. Watch how he moves his thumb and his whole arm lower! I wish I knew Tomo when I was a kid and injured my self by overdoing it. Try to relax and have great posture.
Kurt
Thank you very much Sammi.
Thank you Sammi!
Kurt... you are spying me!
Good job!
Good work Silvije! Is that a daw metronome like Ableton? Maybe you know this, but If you put the beat at 1/4 instead of 4/4 you should be able to skip the accent sound.
Good luck on your guitar journey!
tnx.GR5. i know how to set no accent. think that timing will be no issue even without accent. just this small detail of muting bottom E while changing I to V. i need to make sure some finger is touching it in the process. cheers.
