Tomo Fujita Guitar Wisdom

I noticed Tomo changes between pressing the single 3rd string (So) in the "c-shape" triads on 5-4-3 and barring the whole fret with his index finger. I know this may be trivial, but there is a note that "fingering is important." Is this just player's choice, or should I choose one way, practice both?

The fingering is crucial! Really important to do it exactly like he shows you. I see what you mean about seeing it two ways in that video. At time stamp 6:30 he only plays the third string with his first finger. I think he was just emphasizing the note with one finger to show us the specific note you are playing. It is hard to see when he is muting, and his finger is barring all six strings, I always see him barring all six strings with his first finger when making that C shape triad on strings 5 4 3. He is muting the 2nd and 1st strings with it and probably the low 6th. And playing the third string. Really important to look for those fingering details. I'm still breaking bad habits.
