Hello all from Oxford, England. I joined last year but cancelled due to money reasons but am back now and very pleased to be!
I know open chords, barre chords and, obviously (!), first position minor pentatonic scale. Where would I be best placed to start with the lessons?
Thanks a lot and all the best,
Ben
Hi Ben! Welcome back!
Please watch a few lessons on Essential theory.
Especially ET1 Major scale. Learn it on one string approach.
This way, you don't need any diagrams or tabs.
You can hear and understand intervals.
Please dig in!
These lessons are totally new! (ET1 to ES19)
Thank you.
Tomo
Hi Ben,
Great place to be. I'd work on the all the fundamental sections, triads and essential music theory. Do them slowly, take notes, watch and re-watch often and most importantly, the motto, Don't Worry, Don't Compare, Don't Expect to Fast, Be Kind to your self. Learn it deeply and the hard work will pay off.
P.S.
If you have financial concerns there is an option to pause your subscription for 1 month, 3 months, things like that.
Thank you so much, Tomo and Michael: really appreciate your replies and help. I have started on some of the fundamentals already and your guidance on where they go is very much welcomed. So great to be back in this wonderfully supportive environment with such a fabulous guide in Tomo.
All the best
Ben
