Hi GW Friends!
I've been taking a hiatus from playing guitar this last few weeks due to an wrist injury stemming from tight forearm muscles and likely some tendinitis. I inflicted this upon myself by playing a lot and I mean a lot and I overlooked my physical health on guitar for some time.
I recently started getting treatment and this video show you what you can do to improve the pain. I can tell you it's working, so soon I'll be back to playing.
I for one will start to implement some consistent routines from stretching, to yoga, to general strengthening exercises for the parts of the body that are used most often in playing guitar. I already exercise regularly, sleep a good amount of time, and eat mostly mediterranean diet.
What about you? What do you do to maintain your physical health and prevent injury? I'd love to hear your tips and suggestions.
Thanks!
Thanks Michael. Super important thread and a great resource for all of us. I appreciate it.
