There's a funky groove with G7 and C9 and a drop 2 voicing, beginning at 3:11. I can't quite figure out the strumming pattern. If it's in some other lesson, please let me know. There's a strumming pattern text graphic in "BF Basic Funky Rhythm Guitar Technique" at 5:04 with a different pattern, that can be grasped quite easily. Similar would be super. Thanks!
Thanks so much for watching ET05 Lesson.
Please watch this video for voicings.

That rhythm pattern that you cannot figure it out at all? From 3:11 to 3:24 right?
Should I play it much slower?
Basic pattern is: D is down stroke, U is Up stroke. Keep moving 16th notes.
( ) means ... skip that with right strum direction.
D (U) D (U) ..... D (U) (D) U
(D) U D (U) ..... (D) U (D) U
Thank you.

Thank you! Yes, 3:11-3:24. That pattern helps. Maybe the chord changes made it difficult for me to grasp the rhythm pattern. No need to play slower -thanks.
There is a bit similar funk rhythm in "AT12". That's great too.
You're very welcome! Great to hear that! Glad to be helpful!
Alternate picking is very important. Plus muting technique and dynamics.
Yes. You can focus on only rhythm part first. Then a little easier.
Please enjoy funk rhythm guitar.
Thank you.
