I practiced triads. I’m trying to play them while keeping my hands relaxed and free of tension. If you have any advice, I’d really appreciate it!

So you know which one.... 2nd inversion on 456/345 set = 342
Bottom Root Position... 431
Please don't make your own fingerings. Super important!

Your thumb positions same way...
Especially 345 set strings.... lower your thumb!
Some of them are correct and some of them are not correct.
Over all you did a great job playing triad inversions.
But someone you learned wrong fingerings!
So this means... you didnot watch my triad lesson video deep enough!

I was so focused on the notes that I hadn’t paid attention to my thumb position. I’ll be more mindful of my thumb placement and fingering as I practice again!
Thank you for your reply! Triad inversions are notes.... but you can learn more than just triad inversions ... your thumb position & fingersings are so important too!

I have been working on my fingering. I slip back into my old habits still.
I am going over the videos more. Also, I'm slowing down and really making sure I am using Tomo's recommended fingers for each inversion when I practice.

It took me about half a year to be able to play triads, so I totally understand that it takes time. Let’s keep working hard together!
I paid attention to finger numbers and tried to be aware of the intervals and note names. I’m still not sure how to use triads in improvisation, but I’m starting to recognize the note names and intervals on the fretboard. Any advice would be appreciated.

You need to tune your guitar even though it takes time.
Playing like this .... not great for your ears... because you need to hear right pitches before you play!
You can use triads for improvisation later! First you need to play them in tune first!

Thank you for the feedback! The cardboard box was from my university’s studio. Apparently, it was originally used for Kobe beef packaging, but now it’s filled with records!
By the way, is it okay if I challenge myself with minor triads as well?
Or should I keep focusing on major triads for now?
