Hi:
I was watching the Twinkle Twinkle Little Star lesson this morning and was intrigued by Tomo's remarks about the Musicmaster electric guitar.
See "FTR 11 Triads - Twinkle Twinkle" at 08:04: "I challenge myself to play this 1956 Musicmaster... Really difficult to play, especially if you press too hard, intonation goes out. So basically I learned my bending and pitch control from this instrument."
Do you think one of the contemporary short-scale Fender Squire Minis would be a good challenge as well? I'm game to try it!
At 22.75" scale length, the Squire is just a tad longer than the MusicMaster (22.5") and more affordable than a vintage Musicmaster.
Thank you!
Best wishes,
- R
Thank you so much for watching the Twinkle Lesson!
Vintage Fender Musicmaster is so unique every ways!
Not only 22.5 inch scale but also as great as those vintage Stratocaster & Telecaster.
Not so sure about that. (new Squier for quality...)
Tomo
Thanks for the reply! I really enjoyed "AT25 Twinkle Hendrix" and aspire to get there someday so went to "FTR 11 Triads - Twinkle Twinkle" to work my way from there.
Best wishes,

Thank you Ralph! My pleasure!
It's all about triad inversions!
Good job!
Tomo

I'll just have to keep an eye out for a nice vintage one! As always, appreciate your advice Tomo!
Thank you Ralph... keep looking (all original!)
Enjoy your guitar journey!
You're very welcome!
