Hello everyone, i just want to ask about your opinion. Do i need to resist from practicing other stuff if my techincal ability still not perfect? Do i need to resist from playing other stuff such as playing song if im still not able to play the foundation?
HI Remay,
Great question. Tomo will have the answer.
I think it is ok to practice songs and other stuff besides doing your foundational work.
Tomo recommends just a few really focused minutes on technical fundamentals consistently.
You can try to apply those techniques to the songs etc. you are working on.

Great question! That's very popular question. No need to do "Perfect" but you want to record yourself so you can make sure your playing is betting better! For example, learning Chromatic 1212, Triad Inversions... will take a long time. So don't worry about how much? How long. You can practice 10 minues a day so you can grab other items.
You can practice your foundation 10-15 minutes a day.
You can practice any songs too. Why not?
Remay, how long have you been with us here at Guitar Wosdom?
Did study "Major Scale" on Essential Music Theory section?
Tomo
Thank you Kurt for your help!
I agree with you.
Foundation work plus performance work (songs)
I highly recommend to practice these foundation.
- Chromatic 1234 & Chromatic 1212 for 10-15 minutes a day.
- One String / One Finger Approch for 5 minutes
- Triad Inversions for 5 to 10 minutes (focusing on right hand palm muting & lighter left hand touch & Thumb position)
- R 3 7 Swing Groove for 5 to 10 minutes
Then learn songs! By ears. No videos. No YouTube lessons.
Only information from audio.
