I want to share a few thoughts after spending some time with the new book.
First, I completely agree with what Linda said: “As I begin working through the new book, I recognize so many of the Guitar Wisdom fundamentals. This book really helps to crystallize Tomo’s framework and adds so much focus and value to a practice session.” I couldn’t have said it better myself.
Second, thank you, Sammi, for an excellent piece of writing. It’s clear, concise, and captures Tomo’s approach beautifully.
Third, Chapter 4, “Train Your Ear,” is outstanding. Developing relative pitch has always been a challenge for me, but Tomo and Sammi make it approachable. They break ear training down to its essentials and build on it slowly and patiently. It’s already changing how I listen and practice.
Michael
Thank you Michael for reading my new book! I am so happy to hear that! Thank you so much for your kind words!
The Chapter 4 "Train Your Ear" very important to understand this slow process. No hurry! No answer until you do. Definitely Sammi made this book much better than the original!
Tomo
Thank you so much, Michael! I really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts on the book. It’s such a relief to hear that it’s accomplishing its purpose. I’m so glad that Chapter 4 is resonating with you and already making a difference in how you listen and practice.
Your kind words about the writing mean a lot, and I’m happy to know that Tomo’s approach is coming through clearly. That third part sounds like a great book review! Thank you again for your thoughtful feedback and for being part of the Guitar Wisdom community.
