Dear Guitar Wisdom Community,
You may have noticed I’ve been less active on the forums lately—and I’d like to share why.
Over the past several months, I’ve been working closely with Tomo to adapt and edit the English version of his new book, Guitar Wisdom (yes, the same name as this incredible learning platform!). I’m happy to share that the manuscript is now complete and in the hands of the publisher for final formatting.
This project has been a true labor of love. While it pulled me away from regular posting, I never felt far from this community. In fact, many of you were with me throughout the process—your forum comments, encouragement, and shared insights often echoed in my mind as I worked.
Some phrases I found myself repeating during the tougher moments:
“Perfect is the enemy of good.” — Thank you, Linda
“Do difficult things slowly and carefully.” — Thank you, Tadashi
“No rush, no rush, no rush.” — Thank you, Jiayang
“Drop the shoulder.” — Thank you, Johno (especially helpful during long editing sessions!)
“Believe.” — Thank you, Kurt
We move forward, even when the path isn’t easy. We detour, we return, we keep going. That spirit is at the heart of this community—and the work we do on our own often ends up inspiring and supporting those around us.
So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for indirectly guiding and encouraging me throughout this process! I truly believe Guitar Wisdom, the book, will be a valuable companion for every student here. It will be released soon in digital format on Amazon and Apple Books. Once the official date is confirmed, you’ll be the first to know.
Until then—keep going. Little by little. One note, one breath, one thing at a time. I can’t wait for you to read this!
With gratitude,
Sammi
Can't wait - thanks for the update Sammi!
Thank you so much Sammi for your extra hard work on this Guitar Wisdom book project. This project was more than just translating from Japanese to English but also you did a lot of editing, formatting as new English version. Without your help and efforts this book never could happen! So I am so proud of you and I am so happy about my new book. This book will guide you more details for your guitar journey! I can't wait for you guys to read this book!
Tomo

Sammi! Thank you for all the effort that you have put into the new Guitar Wisdom book. Everybody here is so anxious for it, and it will be a great touch point for shared comments, threads, and journeys within journeys. I'm pleased that you were able to draw support from the forum folks, you have already been such an inspiration to all of us.
Congratulations on the new book! Job well done.
Thank you, Clay, Matt, and Linda!! Now I am thinking...potential book club???
