Hi guitar wisdom fellow members! From my pleasure i mostly listen music from my headphones or from my TV! But when i want to learn anything on guitar or transcribe anything i use my laptop because i can play with the seconds conveniently and listen the same think many times but i can't hear so easily and clear the base from this speakers and the sound quality is not so good!
So I am thinking to buy some speakers for this reason! What do you guys use to listen and transcribe music?
Have a great day everyone. ๐ ๐
I havenโt gotten into transcribing music yet, but the most comfortable way to enjoy music for me is to connect my phone to my Amp(BOSS KATANA AIR EX) and listen to music through the amp speakers. The quality is great!
I prefer using a speaker rather than headphones because I donโt like being in my bed with headphones(be it earbuds or headsets). But when Iโm outside I use sony WF-1000XM5 earbuds.
Hey Markos-
I have a similar setup to Matt at home - one half of office is business, one half is fun.
When I'm on the move, I listen through Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones.
In the office where I do music stuff, I have M-Audio BX5 monitor speakers hooked to my laptop.
One thing that I don't think anyone has mentioned is a sound interface. I use an entry level Scarlett 2i2, and it's great for me. There are a ton more out there. I occasionally play with stuff in a DAW, so that allows me to input things like guitar into tracks there. But for your question, I think a sound interface for most laptops will improve the sound quality you get out - basically offloads sound processing from whatever default sound card your laptop has into something (usually) more powerful.
Hope that helps.
LOL! That's the same interface that I have. I don't record hardly at all, but I use a home built tweed deluxe amp when playing guitar. I mostly use the audio interface to connect my piano keyboard to my MacBook..
