So important to learn these phrases. Thanks for keeping it simple!
Also, smart to remember not to press strings too hard on fretboard when bending so you don't make fingers sore.

I didn't try still. Actually all morning practice I spent reading Jiang's "Sea to Sea" thread because I got Leavitt finally in paper. I miss Jiang now, I hope she is ok and her mom is recovering. But it is also great to see you around and still sight-reading! Very inspiring to me to keep going as a beginner.

Leavitt asks readers to read 5 pages a day, so I was confused about "Sea to Sea" thread at first but I see now it became about focused study of the piece and muting.

I am half-way still in that thread.
Cold in Northern California now but no snow. Hope you are staying warm Tomo, Kurt, everyone reading now.

Thank you Tomo-sensei. This G slow blues video was so helpful for me. Using first finger for 9th slide and pinky for accent was something new for me. Because I was using 3rd finger and pinky so I need to stretch fingers witch is not good for my hand.

Move with each beat. 1 2 3 4... your body was moving 2 beat each. You can move your foot on each beat without sound. I can make a video later.

While my R 3 7 / R 7 3 Bb blues shuffle exercise is making progress, different melodies come up. I keep thinking of Blue Monk. So "Blue Monk" is on my list. ("Also All Of You" as you suggested). I thought this video will help me past the blue monk thread, but at the end you suggest going through that thread so I will. Looking forward!

5751 tubes are wonderful! Thank you so much for suggesting them, noise from 12ax7 was like a slow torture. I felt the same way after I finally understood intonation during triads practice.
Starting to love each foundation practice exercise of my list.

I have to admit to you that when you tell your YouTube viewers to read this forum for free, it makes me nervous to post anything. I am not on any social media and am a bit uncomfortable thinking I am sharing my lousy playing and weird thoughts with so many people that are not our Guitar Wisdom subscriber friends here, who feel like family to me.
I suppose it is important for growing your business and I understand. Maybe you can't make the forum private even if you wanted to.

Thanks Kurt I can almost hear Tomo . "Um Cruz, It's 12 bar blues, not 10,11,12,13 random bar blues" lol. Keeping the count is for the bass player lol. Im kidding :). Of course im from the long format era where they played songs that lasted like 1/2 an hour so 6 mins is short lol.

A few things you can try:
1) Set a little brighter tone so that you can use more picking volume on higher strings.
2) For Blues triad riffs. A D Em (triads) you can use. You can play 3 different choices.
3) Bending phrase. After your bend, do not bend that note down.

Thank you for the swing foundation and notes on distance with balance. The tight pop on the up swing is light pick even mute. Am working on consistency of the swing and sound.

I only really know the 2 versions of Bag's Groove on the "Bag's Groove" album by Miles Davis and The Modern Jazz Giants (cool green and highlighter yellow cover :-).
Side one has 2 takes with Milt and Thelonius Monk on Christmas Eve 1954.
That is where Miles told Monk not to play during Miles' choruses.
Monk was insulted, lays out until Milt plays and then he comps lightly, then Monk solos "tossing rhythmic figures like someone bouncing a rubber ball off the wall" according to liner notes :-) He stops playing again when Miles comes back in.

Thank you LaVoy! Deep listening, moving body while I am listening or playing.. using a metronome. record myself often... Yes! R 3 7 swing groove. Above all... I always feel that I don't think I have a strong time feel.... so I am always working something! Delay pedal is like a metronome.
