Tomo, I am going through Music Theory here on GW. I notice how you teach C Major Scale and F Major Scale and 4 different positions, then move onto Dorian. Would it be beneficial for me to focus on learning all the different keys of the Major Scale first or is it fine to move onto Dorian video?

Thank you Scott! It's easy to move toward any modes after you master basic Major Scale Positions so I would suggest you to study Major Scale on One String One Finger Approach first then learn those basic 4 positions slowly for a while. Then you can swtch to any keys. You can try anything!

I have begun with C Major Scale and F Major Scale on the One String Finger Approach. Very exciting! I have learned the 4 positions of these two keys, and I will continue on this slowly for some time. I tried G and A, but I want to learn so much that I want to learn them all. I have an idea that I should probably take a deep breath and focus only on a few keys for a while. Tomo, I get too excited about playing the guitar and want to learn too fast! LOL.

Thank you for your update Scott! Very good! It's always better to learn, study slow and try not think everything! A few choices is good pace to me. You can combine with Ear Training a little bit. Not only Major scale straight but also you can do "Do Re Mi, Re Mi Fa..." "Do Mi Re Fa..." those patterns. So happy to hear that!
