Hi, I had a question regarding visualising the D Lydian b7 scale
I first tried visualising the notes in an A melodic minor box but of course Lydian b7 is a mode of melodic minor so then I tried visualising it in a B Dorian box with a b2 interval, I’m just wondering what’s the best way to visualise it?? I later tried visualising it in a D minor pentatonic box but I’m a bit confused on how others would look at the scale and use it
HI Ayan. I love the Locrian sound. I started with (and still practice) Locrian on a single string, (top string, then B string, etc.). Just one string one finger with eyes closed does a better job burning it into memory (for me). After a while of doing that you will open your eyes and "see" all the Locrian notes.
Yes! I feel like understanding it by the sound itself is really important I need to give more time really hearing the sound itself, Thank you!
Thank you Linda! Good job on Locrian sound!
