3 things to think when you are practcing C Major scale. (Whole step and half step)
1) Name of Notes: C D E..
2) Intervals: Root M2 M3…
3) Singing sound: Do Re Mi
Now you know those distances as pitches.,
So you can play those notes without looking at the fretboard.
You can try 3 types.
1) Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti Do
2) Do Re Mi Do, Re Mi Fa Re…
3) Do Mi Re Fa…. (In 3rds)
