Hi everyone, hi Tomo!
I am currently going through essential music theory learning scales and practicing my triads on different string sets as well. I want to ask how can I apply these concepts to solo over a song? Because I find that just practicing without actually playing might be not as efficient as playing actual chord progressions/songs.
Right now I'm going through my diatonic triads of a key on string 3 2 1, with inversions, also practicing different scale positions and practicing them on each string.
Please tell me how I can better improve my practicing!
Thank you everyone, and have a great day!
Thank you Duc for working so hard! Good job! So you have been working on One String One Finger approach and triad inversions a lot. How long have you been working? A few weeks? A few months?
How about this? You can apply triads to this song. "Stand By Me" in A.
A A F#- F#-
D E A A
Two bars of A Major triads
Two bars of F# minor triads
One bar of D Major triads
One bar of E Major triads
Two bar of A Major triads
These inversions to start... you can play 2 other inversions to follow....
Root Position (A)
1st Inversion (F#-)
2nd Inversion (D)
1st Inversion (E)
Root Position (A)
You can play a melody on one string!
Please enjoy!
Tomo
