I came across this free ear trainer and thought it might be helpful for those who, like me, are working on ear training and being able to better recognize intervals. There are a lot of training tools at this site, but I'm just using this one for now. I don't want to work on too much at one time.

In the page settings, I have the range set to C3-C4 and I set the instrument to acoustic guitar. I'm really finding it useful.

That Tenuto app is great for learning the notes on the fretboard too. I do it while waiting and waiting in waiting rooms at the doctor.

So sorry to say that I cannnot comment any other people / company products.

Best way for me.... I use to make my own ET tape. Just use a casette tape (you can use your iPhone recording)

1) Play simple C F G C ... pause a few seconds.
2) Play one note ... pause a few seconds
3) Say that note.
4) Make a few seconds.

Repeat this. Great way to hear intervals.
Homemade food is always healthy!

PS, Learn good melodies, good chords and analyze them.

I actually used this site occasionally before joining GW. I think both methods work but Tomo's one may be slightly better (but harder) because we will have to consciously know what chord we select for the exercise. Whereas, for the site, we kind of know what range of notes are being played, so it may be easier at the beginning. But when it's all mixed up, it can be harder.
