I am confused… 🤔 because the key of G has a F sharp, shouldn’t a G7 chord have an F sharp? I think I am missing something because I see G, B, D, and F as a G7 chord and I don’t know how to think about it.
Kind regards- Marcus
Dominant 7th chord is 1-3-5-b7.
The 7th note in key of G is F#.
F (natural) is b7 in key of G.
G-B-D-F
Kurt
So I can think if it as the minor 7th really..when building a chord.
Root
Major 3rd
Perfect 5th
Minor7th
If I am thinking correctly
Hi Kurt! :)
Minor 7th has flat 3 and flat 7-Sort of sad.
Dom 7 has MAJOR 3 and flat 7- Sort of Happy and a little funky, bluesy.
Kurt
Thank you Kurt.
