I am confused with the structure of these two playlist. I dont understand how to progress through these lessons. Because some lessons are beginner that are in part 2 and some are advanced are in part 1. how is this structured? can someone please explain? Thanks in advance

Also advice for the website - maybe we can color code the videos?

Green - beginner
Yellow - intermediate
Red - intermediate/advanced
Black - Advanced

Your question is interesting, Nalin, for two reasons:

(1) We encourage all Guitar Wisdom members to refrain from thinking about their guitar-playing "level" when following the lessons. There is no proficiency exam; we are not awarding degrees! Our mission is to help you to become a better player. See more on this topic in my Welcome post.

(2) If we were to categorize lessons in the Applied Theory sections, we would call them "intermediate" or "advanced" lessons. There are no "beginner" lessons in the Applied Theory playlists.

The principal problem with labels and categories is this: they sometimes discourage students from exploring lessons that could be enormously helpful to them.

So, for example, if we were to label the Sight-Reading Series as lessons for beginners, students who consider themselves "intermediate" players would likely avoid these lessons, thereby missing out on potential improvements to their technique and time-feel.

Likewise, if we were to label the Applied Theory Series as lessons for advanced players, students who feel new to the "intermediate" level might be reluctant to try a series of challenging lessons that could help them to move forward by leaps and bounds!

If a lesson in the Applied Theory Series seems simple and straightforward to you, congratulations! You have obviously developed a good grasp of the fundamentals on which the lesson depends.

If, on the other hand, a particular Applied Theory lesson seems impossibly difficult, you ought to step back and study or review (via Guitar Wisdom) the theory and technical elements on which the lesson is built. Then you will be ready to move forward -- the Applied Theory lesson will seem less difficult.

Those sections are not beginner level at all. Section One has more straight blues and a few chords (2 chords vamps) Chords and soloing. Section Two has more Jazz Blues and songs that has more chords and more tension. Sometime one lesson is seems simple yet it is go deeper.

These lessons are like in private lessons. If you don't have a solid foundation... it is hard to follow. So you can watch any of them and if you found difficult then you should look for something similar that lesson topic with less information and slower pace. I believe each lessons are so focused and very structured.
