Tomo and all, can I please get feedback on my progress with this lesson? Thank you so much.
Scott
Hey Scott! Thanks for sharing your progress with us. You've come a long way with this one!
I reviewed your previous posts (https://tomovhxtv.vhx.tv/forums/general/77930-fb-bb-blues-soloing-etude?page=1) and noticed a huge difference in both your hands, as well as your muting technique. One other thing I noticed was your thumb position. I know you've been working really hard on that habit, and it shows. Keep up the good work and enjoy the process!
Great feedback Sammi!
I can hear it too Scott!
Sounds smoother!
It is deeply inspiring to see practice over time, again and again, and steady improvement!
Keeps me going too, (working on taping myself.)
Thank you Scott!
Thank you both for your feedback. I'm very excited. I'm enjoying this process very much. I have noticed a different in playing the 3rd and 7th chord together after doing this exercise. It is getting easier.
I hear the Blues call and response in your video Scott. Glad your improving all kinds in the tune and technical stuff. I have not seen that lesson video. I can share this lesson that has been really helpful.

Very challenging too. Lots of sections with specific focus learning. I have been practicing little bit at time then take a break for while. Back at it to it refresh. Been several months and still going. Same process, practice, learn, fix (un-do habits), repeat. Will get there eventually. Hope that helps. Enjoy!!

This was a video that Tomo made for me, so I can practice the parts to get better at palm muting and thumb position. It’s in that post that Sammmi shared above.
Hey, Johno, here's the video Tomo made for me. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCe2OJ09kz2MEl6k4nsCMP6Q
Great job Scott! Plesae be proud yourself! Your technique is getting much better because your passion and your cosistant effort! I love your tone very much! Your dynamic was excellent.
It is hard to play these "In Tempo" so two things you can do.
1) Practice this slower tempo but keep in time.
2) Practice 1212 3212 3432 1234...4343 2343 2123 4321 on 4th and 3rd strings everyday!
3) Practice R 3 7 Swing Groove with finger picking in slow tempo everyday!
Happy Guitar Journey!
Tomo
I will, Tomo. Thank you so much. I am very excited. I wanted to say that I found out that I have to have neck fusion surgery next month. I have a bone spur pressing on my spinal cord. I’m not going to be able to even practice for 12 weeks. I will be doing a lot of deep listening during this time. I will keep going. So if it seems like I am silent, I am not. 😁
That sounds like a serious surgery Scott.
Praying for you buddy.
It is a great time for deep listening and visualization. Hope you can still interact on the forum during the recovery!
It is serious, but I will be here! If my wife has to physically put the guitar in my hands, I will keep going! LOL
You're very welcome Scott.
Wishing your best outcome your health.
Thank you so much for being a member of GW! You're very special to us!
