Happy live stream week everybody. Looking forward to Wednesday
Yes! I am looking forward to this!
Thank you!
Tomo
Best stream of the bunch so far Tomo! The 30 day chromatic challenge and your examples and personal anecdotes (and being in a chatty mood, as Sammi says, lol) made this one a lot of fun and very engaging.
Can't wait for the challenge to begin and for more streams and more challenges!
Grateful for Guitar Wisdom, Tomo (and family and supporters!)
Thank you so much! You are the one of best audiences! Thanks so much for watching! I am so happy about November Challenge! This is going to be so amazing! So effective after 30 days! Yes! I had so much fun doing the streaming live last night.
I am so grateful too1 Thank you!
Tomo
Hi I am a new member/subscriber. I wanted to know if I can see the old live streams. Also because I'm new do we receive emails for new lesson and live streams. Thanks so much looking forward to working with tomo.
Paul
Hi Paul,
1-Yes, all subscribers receive email notifications, so check to see that they end up in your in box instead of spam.
2-Yes, you can see old streams. Please check the forums, there is indeed a post about how to do this.
Thanks and welcome! Hope to see you around here! Good luck with your guitar journey!
Welcome, Paul! I saw that George also provided you with instructions, but I wanted to add that we typically schedule a livestream at the end of the month. So far, Wednesday evenings have worked best for Tomo. You can expect an email from our team detailing the live stream near the end of the month :)

Challenges are announced in these Forums and in livestreams. You can expect to learn about a new challenge in the Spring of 2025.
A possible Spring 2025 challenge. Looking forward to it! :)
Agreed MJS. Glad also to have some time in between. Focus this winter for me is to go through tomos William leavitt site reading course that have only scratched the surface of. And also to use the metronome at least once when practicing. Easier said than done but that’s my own challenge. What’s yours?
Yes! I will let you know when I decide it.
I am looking forward to new challenge in 2025.
Thank you.
Tomo
Will do! Thanks Tomo. 10-15 mins is a good manageable guide sounds good. Sea to sea today was fun going to loop it tomorrow to play both parts. It’s fun to try to site read all the way through and w the metronome. The a and the f notes are tricky for some reason but starting to get the hang of it
Thank you!
Good job! You're very welcome. Focus in short time is good!
I used to use this book for checking my techniques: Muting technique & tone... picking volume control.
Thank you.
Tomo
Hi everyone! Tomo will host a live stream tonight, December 26th, at 8 pm EST. If you are on our mailing list, you will receive an email from us this afternoon with the private link to join. If you are not signed up to receive our emails, you can follow the instructions given by George above. As always, we will record the stream for later viewing. I hope you can join!
Excellent!!! My first!! I’m looking forward to it !!! Thanks Sammi
Great Frank!
Thank you for subscribing Guitar Wisdom!
Tomo
Awesome! Looking forward to it!
Thank you Michael!!
My pleasure Tomo . So grateful to be here 🙏
Was driving but caught the second half on audio, looking forward to watching the recording. Thanks Tomo! The bit at the end stuck out to me about how to approach pressure that comes with performance … don’t focus going into the performance on being the top or being perfect but little bit more in the middle so you leave room to go above expectations. Thank you for saying this makes a lot of sense and never thought about it like this.
Also took away about practicing something for too long and how you used to play b flat r 3 7 swing w metronome for like 40 minutes straight and all it did was make you tired and not effective this long. I’m not going to lie ive been pretty much doing this lol. Got it
Blue Monk! Great to know this is an important one to focus on. Love that the focus here at TFGW is Blues Jazz Funk and also little bit of rock some country too. Little bit of everything. The comments by everyone really helps even when it is just hearing what each other’s working on. Sometimes the comments are what brings me to the right topic or I see something that I missed before. Safe to say the comments by everyone here help this place really tick. Thank you!
Thanks for sharing, Jeff! Hearing what others are working on and how they approach divvying up their limited time is incredibly helpful to others. Let's keep it going :)
Thank you for tuning in!
It went so fast!
Best not to try to be perfect! That's why so important not to rush.
Be calm and do one thing at a time with slow pace.
Blue Monk melody is super important as well as specific fingering for that melody.
Study that melody in depths.
R 3 7 swing Blues, Jazz blues & Jazz standards are so important!
You can learn song forms, chord progressions (great for improvisation later)
And you can learn Applied Theory Section too!
You're very welcome!
Tomo
Great live stream tonight and thank you for the reminder team it popped up in my email and was able to watch. I loved the guitar stories. It is true so often we are drawn to guitars that our idols play like tomos first Mustang and then the Larry Carlton 335 and so on. I also was thinking about storytelling when I was watching the live stream tonight and how this is so important in music. and Tomo does this so well. I like the message too of just being grateful for guitar doesn’t matter level just play and enjoy. Thanks for taking time to share with us tonight Tomo , and after 9 hours of teaching! Very inspiring thank you
Thank you Jeffrey! I went over too much talking about my guitar history! I did a little bit improvise that part... I was supposed to explain more about "Choices of guitar shapes and more" Glad to hear that you enjoyed that part. That's so true that I can play guitar everyday! Just so grateful that. There are many great guitar players... but it so important how you enjoy it for yourself! You're very welcome! Thank you so much!
Tomo
Lovely evening chatting it up around the GW table! Thanks Tomo!
Thank you for watching Ken!
I was suppose to explain more guitar choices but I talked my guitar experience first and it took a little longer than I expected. I thought it is very important to share how I choose my guitar(s).
You're very welcome!
Thanks so much for watching GW live Stream.
Tomo
