Hello everyone,
What do you think is the ideal string height or action for optimal playability?
Years ago, while learning sweep picking and other shred techniques, I adjusted my guitar to have the strings as low as possible without causing fret buzz. Now that I’m properly studying music here :), I’m wondering if my string attack is affecting my ability to sustain bent notes.
Do you have any recommendations or insights on this?
Thanks
Thank you for posting this thread!
My string action is about 2.00mm at 12th fret. This way I can bend any notes, strumming them without any fret buzz.
Thank you.

Is that for electric or acoustic?
For electric.
What would it be for your acoustic guitars? Curious as I don't own an electric at all.
Thanks!
Similar to electric. Enough string height so all the notes are full tone!
I would say 2.00mm or maybe a little more at 12th fret.
It's very easy to adjust a truss rod. More neck relief or not.
Thank you.
