Hello all
Just a question re practising triads. Is it best to learn, for example, the C major triad and it's two inversions on all the string sets first (i.e. 12 shapes) or to learn all the major triads and their inversions for the twelve notes on each string set first? In other words, should I aim to master the C first before venturing into other notes? I ask because in Tomo's first video, he talks about and demonstrates triads other than C.
Many thanks and apologies if this has been asked a thousand times before!
Ben
Thank you Ben for making this thread.
Yes. 3 Inversions.
R 3 5 = Root Position
3 5 R = 1st Inversion
5 R 3 = 2nd inversion
First you want to watch Major scale lesson and triad lessons on essential theory.
This way, you will learn intervals without thinking too much shapes.
Idea is do not rely on only visual shapes.

Very important not to rush or hurry when you are learning triads.
Please take your time!
Learn only C triads and review a lot!
Stay with C Major triads for a few months.

For demo, sometimes I play something extra but stay with simple material first.
Thank you.
