Good job on your own practice routine!

Slow down & thinking each name / interval… Yes!

Slightly confusing but when you learn those in certain keys…
For instance, if you are key in F or Bb…. then we don’t say A#!
But for now, you need to know all flats & all sharps.

Blues triad inversions are so good!
You can start from Root Posidion (Key of Bb or C)
1st Inversion (Key of G or F)
2nd Inversion (Key of D or Eb) Just some ideas later.

Yes, cleanly playing the root position in higher frets has been a big challenge using fingers 341.
I've been working on this since week one. Tomo told me it was possible to use those fingers up there.
It' so much better now that I am gaining muscle memory.
Still buzzing often when not looking, but I keep working away on it.
Looking forward...

Ditto Kurt. I spent a chunk of week 1 cheating on that fingering, and admitted it in my forum post. Tomo: "don't just do what's comfortable." Glad to get that message - I still get buzz, or unintentional muting, but WAY better than week 1. Keep at it!

Great work on your main 3 points! Focus on less items is always so good. Reviewing lesson videos. Be curious and try not get answer too fast. Lightly touch on Chromatic scake is good! Lighter picking and palm muting on 5th and 6th strings. Soft voice. keep same softness. Triad inversions with G C and D. Yes! The last triad inversion will go… Great to add R 3 7 Swing groove. Good work! Get some rest! Bonus Week!

I have been listening Joe Pass Virtuoso for more than 40 times through out July Challenge,
Now I can hear each song so clearly in my head!

It’s case by case to choose about fingerings.
Some fingerings are not easy but you can do!

Let me think about ideas around that fingerings.

When I teach my private students those standard fingerings to all my students and tell them better to drop own opinions. Just do it! Plus no need to worry if you cannot do it right away. I don’t expect that fast. Month or a few months.

All good! If you get some fret buzz… maybe raise the string height and brighter & louder volume from your amp!

Thank you for your attention! I sleep a lot each day… 7-8 hours. Funny … my father sleeps many hours!
My mom told me that my father usually go to bed around 9pm and he cannot get up before 8am! Good for him!

I use Joe Pass Virtuoso for my time limit. So I listen this album 2 times and my job is done!
So 3 more songs!

Noticing approach is so great!

Lightly touching the fret wire is so hard!
One of my trick is to use louder setting amp and guitar’s rear pickup. Guitar volume is around 7-8.

Triad inversions exercise is so great for that. Especially I spent more time on 654/543 sets so that I can hear more string noise / finger noise / fret noise / sliding noise. Squire Esquire is so good! Only rear pickup! This was the reason that Jeff Beck is so amazing!

One String approch & Triad inversions. Super slow to think name of notes & intervals. Think clearly slow… then play. Don’t rush. Insanely slow so that you don’t need to repeat too many times. Try not memorize quick!

Do evenly on all 6 strings with One String Approach & Triad Inversions.

Keep going with Chromatic 1212 everyday but careful, slow, soft … not just fingering / picking exercise.
This will make you play anything smooth because it is not easy to do!

From this July Challenge…. my big take away is… cleaning & organaization on things.
My case was my social medias. Instagram posts (so many bad ones! Now down from 9900 to 4366 posts! I am still working…) YouTube Channel videos (so many okay ones… made as unlisted many) Now I am erasing many TikTok videos!

Totally I didnot realize that I was just focusing making many videos but I didn’t review for organazation!

Kind of random but there is an episode of Cosmos called Deeper, Deeper, Deeper Still. Your practice notes reminded me of this title!
