Hey folks,
I recently signed up with the intention of breaking through the plateau that find myself in.
I don't want to rush the process - I don't expect too fast, but at 41 years, with a family and a demanding day job, I find myself with limited time to study. I'd appreciate some advice of which videos to watch. Here's where I'm at:
Thank you for your time.
Best,
Felipe Wolfe
Hi Felipe!
Wow! I love everything about this. The playing, singing and the whole band are nailing it You all are totally delivering the goods! Thanks for inspiring me. Tomo will help you continue to learn and have fun! Nice to have you here!
Very best,
Kurt in Seattle.
Welcome Felipe to Guitar Wisdom.
Please read "The November Challenge" threads. Those will give you inspiration & how important about foundation. Please watch " Essential Theory " section (One String Approach) Practice Routine video. Blues Soloing Etude too. Please copy that blues phrase with clean tone.
So you can away from looking at the fretboard. Definitely simple shuffle blues bassline & R 3 7 Swing groove. Pick a few videos and watch 2-3 times.
I love playing blues as you do! I am so happy to see this!
Having a fun! Very important part. Then you can watch your own live video many times
so you can improve more! You can learn more! Please dig in!
Looking forward to your guitar journey here!
Thank you.
Tomo
Smokin’ Felipe! So, I’m so curious as to how you would describe the plateau you’re experiencing? Welcome to Guitar Wisdom!
Ken, from N. California
Thank you, everybody!
What a great group we have here.
Tomo, thank you! I'll dive deep in the videos you recommended.
Thank you so much.
Ken, most of the times it feels like I'm using the same phrasing and scales. I'd like to break through that. I hear a lot of cool guys from the new generation mixing diminished runs and adding a jazzy approach to their lines, and I'd like to be able to do so too.
Thank you!
Happy practicing everyone!
You're very welcome Felipe!
Beautiful group of people here at GW forum!
I cannot thank enough!
Thank you.
Tomo
